Exosphere Aircraft Company, Inc. manufactures and retails state-of-the-art light-sport aircraft (LSA) designed to meet the needs of private owners today. Exosphere is discovering ways to integrate performance, fuel efficiency and current design trends with ASTM standards set forth by the FAA, to meet the growing demand for light-sport aircraft.

Light -sport planes occupy a niche between ultra lights and general aviation aircraft. In terms of safety and serviceability, light-sport aircraft are similar in size and function to general aviation classics such as the Piper Cub and its descendants.

Exosphere will release two light-sport aircraft designed by award-winning aircraft engineer, Jim Bede. Recently named Director of Aeronautical Design, Bede has created the BD-22, an affordable, mass-produced plane, and the limited edition BD-22S, which features special edition accessories. www.bedecorp.com

Jim Bede is a well-known, innovative aircraft designer and has been highly influential in the kit plane market. Bill Lear, creator of the LearJet, called Jim "the best damned airplane designer in the world." Since 1961, Bede has focused on making flying affordable for everyone, developing his own line of aircraft. The most famous of these, the BD-5 micro-plane was featured in a James Bond movie. Exosphere’s entry into the light-sport aircraft market is occurring at a time when the field is still young. The marriage of appealing design and fuel efficiency will provide Exosphere a marketing advantage in the highly desirable category of light sport aircraft.

By entering the market with a limited edition series Exosphere can capitalize on its design and pave the way for name recognition which will enhance the sales of the lower end light-sport aircraft which will ultimately be designed for the entry level pilot.
