Barry Henthorn
CEO and President
Barry Henthorn is a pioneer in the development and marketing of telecommunications technologies. While still in college, he developed a switching methodology that linked local calling areas so as to create a larger toll free zone. In 1990, Barry founded and served as CEO of Emerald City Telecommunications, which clarified the definition of private telecommunications networks. While continuing to develop this technology in 1992, he formed Emerald City Cellular, and introduced the "free cellular phone" to the cellular market. The two companies merged to create Innovative Communications Technologies, which creates and markets a variety of communications technologies. Barry is the CEO of ICT and the co-creator of its Global Private Telecommunications Networks. In addition to Barry's achievements in the technology sector, he has also sat on advisory boards for numerous US corporations in a variety of industries including aerospace, law, accounting, international trade, espresso machine manufacturing, and travel. Barry continues to contribute to a fresh viewpoint and vision toward the future of Innovative Communications Technologies.
Ron Henthorn
Chairman of the Board and COO
Ron has extensive experience and knowledge in the worldwide marketing of technical products. A graduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wichita led to a 37-year career with the Boeing Company as chief project engineer on special programs, National Sales Manager for Boeing Construction Equipment Company, and Director of Marketing of technical products developed at Boeing, with a strong background in licensing and royalty agreements. Ron has developed business plans and served as an officer for numerous successful start-up companies including ICT. As COO of ICT since 1995, he has developed several key-banking relationships for ICT and its divisions.
Sean Lamont
Director of Engineering
Sean Lamont has been deploying cutting-edge Internet and telecommunications technology for more than fifteen years. In 1994, Sean was Director of Engineering for seanet.com, a Puget Sound area Internet access and web hosting provider. In 1995, Sean acted as CEO of ServNet Internet Services, a provider of dialup and next- generation Internet products and services, a company for which he still is an active advisor. From 1997 through 1999, Sean acted as CTO for RiseTech, LLC, a provider of fiber optic-delivered Ethernet last-mile Internet and voice technology to high-rise tenants such as the Bank of America Tower. Sean holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington, where he also serves on the advisory board for the Educational Outreach web certificate program.
Leslea McLean
Director of Operations
Leslea McLean served as Marketing Manager in 1992 for Emerald City Cellular and was instrumental in marketing and managing the nation's first "free phone" campaign with regional partner Speedy Auto Glass. The success of this promotion was the beginning of change for the entire wireless market. In 1994 Leslea was hired as Operations Manager at ICT in charge of the Wireless and Networks divisions and participated in the design and creation of the custom billing and customer service software. As Director of Operations, Leslea implemented ICT's 1999 national marketing / sales tour integrating Innovative Cellular's National Hydroplane Race Tour with co-sponsor Sprint PCS. Leslea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Video Marketing from Central Washington University and serves on the board of Evergreen Golden Retriever Rescue.
Joel Edwards
Director of Private Networks/Director of Business Development
Joel Edwards has over 18 years of successful senior account management and business consulting roles within the retail, high technology, financial services, telecommunications and eLearning industries. Major account management includes engagements with AT&T Wireless Microsoft, Washington Mutual, L.L. Bean, SBC Communications and many others. Joel has been with the Innovative Communications family since April, 2004. Joel has a BS in Business Administration, Major in Finance, Eastern Illinois University and is a past Board Member for the ARC of King County, past President and Board Member of the Issaquah High School Lacrosse Club and current coach with the Issaquah Youth Lacrosse.
