The world of mobile wireless and wireline telecommunications, as we have previously understood it, is shifting toward a converged network that few companies will engage and fewer will be successful in deploying. ICT Universal IP will not only duplicate all functionality previously required within present disparate networks (i.e. mobile wireless communications, wireline dial tone and long distance, Internet protocol, television/cable broadcast) but as a result of blended functionality will set the stage for this new ICT R&D application never before conceived.
